National Harbor Concert
Live Performances by Rise Against & Deftones
Jen and I went to see a live performance by Rise Against and Deftones at a National Harbor Concert at MGM. We heard about through some friends who love going to concerts. We had never been to this venue before, and since it’s pretty new, we think you will appreciate hearing what it’s like to go to a National Harbor Concert at MGM.
The MGM National Harbor has an amazing venue for your favorite musicians and artists. I’m going to tell you how my experience was, and what I learned about this venue for a concert.
The June 14, 2017 performance by headliners Rise Against & Deftones were full of energy and appreciation for the fans.
They also had Thrice and Three Trapped Tigers performing that evening. All together they put on great shows for the fans.
For anyone who hasn’t been to one of their concerts yet, I highly recommend you check them out.
Engineered For Uncompromising Quality
- LED lights throughout the venue for energy savings and sustainability
- 950 Orchestra seats or 13,000 sq. ft? Depends on whether they’re hosting a concert or conference.
- Designed to offer incomparable audio and visual experiences
- State-of-the-art audio & video system designed unique to the venue
- Eliminates any need for a crew to rig their own setup
It’s recommended that whenever you go to a concert, you should consider earplugs. Damage to your ears is permanent!
We’ve been to a lot of concerts, but this venue really had a great value for the cost of the tickets and ease of parking/access, which was all on site.
We cannot encourage you enough to visit this location if you’re visiting the area!
We paid $0 for parking — it was free! And just under $50 for each ticket. The experience was worth it!
When visiting Maryland, be sure to check out the Arundel Mills Mall. There is another Casino, the Maryland Live Casino located in Hanover, MD. The Mall is directly beside it. It’s one of the prime attractions in Maryland.
But I digress, back to the MGM Resort and Casino!
Cost? $1.4 Billion … and it took just 2 years to complete
This is a $1.4 billion resort located at National Harbor, Maryland. It opened officially December 8th of 2016, making this tour among this venue’s firsts. And it was a memorable one for sure.
Get this, construction began in April 2014 and finished by December 2016! That’s including the delays caused by a Prince George’s County lawsuit pressed by a group of businesses.
That aside, I’d say their project was successful and built extremely efficiently.
The interior does not disappoint, either
Here is a photo I snapped of Jen while riding the escalator inside:
We were having a great evening because we parked for free, had amazing views from the parking garage, the rooftop, and inside!
Jen’s favorite area was the rooftop – look at those views!
The next time you want to have a fun date, or hang out with your friends, I highly recommending seeing what is going down at MGM National Harbor. Venue is located @ MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino, 101 MGM National Ave, Oxon Hill, MD 20745
